Kanaha Beach Park:
Across
from Maui's Kahului Airport (OGG),
this beginners windsurfing
location has picnic tables and offers good swimming.
Baldwin Beach Park:
Beautiful
white sand beach on Hwy 36, just before reaching Paia.
Restrooms, picnic tables, showers, baseball diamond, soccer field, and
swings for the kids.
Often windy here, so keep the sand out of your eyes. Good swimming during
Summer months.
Spreckelsville Beach:
Also
located just before Paia, this beach is nice for swimming and
watching the windsurfers.
Ho'okipa Beach Park:
This
is the famous world-class windsurfing beach known round the
world for its almost-always-present trade winds and Winter swells that
can often reach in
excess of 20'. On Hwy 36, just past Paia on the "Road to Hana." Restrooms,
picnic tables
and showers are available here. Swimming here is best left to the pros!
