has been voted "Best Beach in America." Excellent for sunbathing, swimming,
and relaxing.
Kaanapali
Beach (Dig Me Beach): Located
in the middle of the action at Ka'anapali
Resort, this world-famous 3 mile stretch of beach is without a doubt Maui's
most well
known and well used. Excellent area for everything from people watching
and sunbathing
to diving and snorkeling. The lava rock formation in front of the Sheraton
Maui (Black Rock)
is home to tame fish and eels, so no spearfishing!
Honokowai
Beach Park: North
of Lahaina Town on Hwy 30. Good swimming beach.
Puamana
Beach County Park: South of Lahaina on
Hwy 30. Grassy park, picnic tables.
Launiupoko
State Wayside Park: Just off Hwy 30, approximately
3 miles south of
Lahaina Town, Launiupoko has restrooms, showers, and a wading pool for
the kids.
Olowalu
(Mile 14): Continue south out of Lahaina
a little further and you'll come to
Olowalu, one of Maui's most popular beaches for snorkeling and diving.
